Dealer Policy & Legislative Compliance

This marketplace operates strictly within the framework of the Firearms Act 1996 and associated state regulations.

The "Major Component" Rule

Under Australian law, a person must not sell or advertise a firearm part unless they are a Licensed Firearms Dealer (LFD) or possess a specific permit. We define these boundaries clearly below.

1. Private Sellers (Non-Dealers)

Private individuals may only list non-controlled accessories. These are items that do not form the essential mechanism of the firearm and do not have a serial number. Examples include:

  • Stocks, Chassis, and Grips
  • Optics, Mounts, and Picatinny Rails
  • Muzzle devices (Compensators/Brakes) - Subject to State Laws
  • Cleaning kits and storage cases

2. Licensed Firearms Dealers (LFD)

Only verified Dealers with a valid Dealer Number on file may list Firearm Parts as defined by the Act. This includes any component that is essential to the operation of a firearm, such as:

  • Receivers and Frames: The core serialized component.
  • Barrels: Any rifled or smoothbore barrel.
  • Bolt Assemblies: Complete bolts or breech blocks.
  • Trigger Groups: Internal firing mechanisms.
  • Magazines: Any form of ammunition holder that fits to a firearm.

3. Prohibited Items

The following are strictly prohibited for sale by any party on this platform:

  • Full-auto conversion kits or sears.
  • Suppressors (Silencers).
  • Ammunition or explosive components.
